Hi, I’m Kelly - designer, interiors-obsessed homebody, and the heart behind Possum + Wattle.

My approach is grounded, warm and gently supportive, helping you make thoughtful decisions, not rushed ones.

A little bit about me

After 15+ years working with some of Australia’s biggest interiors brands (think Dulux and Laminex), I launched Possum + Wattle to offer something different: a more personal, less intimidating approach to interior design. One that celebrates slowness, flexibility, and making smart styling choices, not expensive ones.

The name Possum + Wattle holds a special place in my heart. Possum is a childhood nickname from my dad; a little thread of comfort and love that’s stayed with me since I was small. Wattle is for the Australian native landscape I adore, especially those joyful bursts of yellow in bloom. It’s a name rooted in warmth, nature, and home.

I’m based in the Sunshine Coast countryside, am mum to two little girls, and I know firsthand that homes are never truly “done.” They shift and change with each season of life - and that’s a good thing. That’s why I’m passionate about helping you work with what you already have, source what you really need, and bring calm to the chaos through thoughtful design.
